It’s like a fire all over the sky. Beautiful!

Truly the end of day.
Even 29°C would feel extremely hot for me here (and would be rare). I remember one hot summer some 8 or 9 years ago. Bought an ice cream cone in the evening and had to hurry to eat it before it would melt in the windy and hot weather (25 -- 28 °C). Of course, it’s all relative and 40 °C to 29°C must be a big relief.

Ohhh, I love them, but I love the second most.
Hmmm, 29 would be a nicely hot summer day here, 41 a heat record.

Years ago Mr and I went to Corsica. One late afternoon we bought some ice cream. I’m a big fan of well made ice cream and there were many flavours and I just couldn’t decide between going for rich (something like slated caramel and Nougat de Montelimar) or fruity, so I told Mr to order first. He got two scoops and when I saw how big those were I quickly decided to reduce my order to one scoop.
He had chocolate and afterwards he looked like a three year old who’d been left unattended with an extra large glas of Nutella. I still have the pics somewhere as blackmail ;)

When it comes to summer and ice cream and the kids, silence is cheap and never, ever golden. Usually sticky. :)

And afterwards you just hose them down. Though I must say the kids are very good, they also love to just lick ice cubes for refreshment.
