I suppose I could sign it on the back. It seems the kind of thing to change the perspective as the whim hits. You want it? It’s dry, watercolour not oil. If you do, shoot me an email with where to send it.

Thanks, Caine but I have no place to hang it.

I’ll take it! There’s a dragon in it, more obvious when placed vertically.
rq, it’s yours! So you like it in the vertical position shown? Send me your mailing info, and I’ll get it on the way. It’s 8″ x 10″, so it won’t be a huge box or anything. :D

The waters have fought back. There’s turmoil, but great strength too.
What I’d love to see is a 10ft square projection from under a translucent floor or laminated print of your picture placed so that observers could walk over it, then watch their reactions. Invite a group of kids. Film the results.
I like the first one better, personally. It seems — well, I’m not sure how to put it into words. It seems like it’s more about something. More specific. Does that make any sense?
Yes. I agree with you, too. I don’t really care for the second, which is why it now belongs to rq, who does care for it. Sometimes a piece clicks, and sometimes it doesn’t. I was feeling very conflicted when I did the second, which might be the reason I feel the way I do.
Aaaaaaaand, doing the first, I was reveling in the intensity of using brand new palette knives. Can’t explain that one.

Any time you use a new tool, you can be surprised. I run into that frequently in my (very different) line.

I know I am late to the party, but I haven’t been online much the last few days. I see a horse in the first under this lighting. Did not see it on the previous post. The second I see an eagle.

I like them both. And I like that changing the orientation changes the work.

I like them.
There is so much going on.
I think I like the second one better.

Vertical or horizontal?
chigau (ever-elliptical) says
Actually, I like it with the big red bit on the bottom.

Ha. That would be interesting.
