In a video posted to Twitter by AJPlus, weekend warriors in Texas explain that they will be using bullets dipped in pigs blood or smeared with bacon’ grease when the time comes to stop the “Arab uprising” they believe will overrun their state.
In the video, one unidentified militia member explains the importance of using pork-dipped bullets.
“A lot of us here are using either pig’s blood or bacon grease on our bullets, ” he explains, adding, “So that when you shoot a Muslim they go straight to hell. That’s what they believe in their religion.”
Added another militia member, “Don’t f*ck with white people,” before showing off his shooting prowess with a shotgun.

I don’t think I can say anything remotely reasonable about these people, so I’ll just go with Fuck. Scary.

You expect them to know history, and actually pay attention to it? They are looking for an excuse to murder and feel righteous about it. Stupid and murderous, great combination, that.
Apart from being stupid bigots, misunderstanding Islam (AFAIK, the hypothetical jihadis will go to Paradise no matter what if they die in the holy war according to Quran and hadith), they’re wasting (small amounts, but anyway) food. Pork blood is great for making blood sausage and blood pancakes, both quite nutritious (I would eat them if I didn’t have gout).
Texas. Wasn’t the federal government supposed to invade Texas? I kept hearing over and over that Texas was going to be invaded.
Why would anyone even want to do that? Even jihadis, who are not all that rational?
I put this down to people thinking they are so fucking important that everyone else on the planet is thinking about them constantly and planning something nefarious. When the plain truth is, no one gives a crap.
It’s actually quite clear. Consumption of the flesh of swine is forbidden. Drinking blood (of any animal) is forbidden.
There is nothing about coming in contact with pig’s blood in other ways, voluntarily or involuntarily.

And… don’t these yoyos think that Islam is wrongity-wrong-wrong-wrong? Shouldn’t they be doing something to their bullets which, in their own belief system, will make Something Nasty happen to whoever gets shot by said bullets? And the ungodly Muslims they’re firing at won’t have any way of knowing that the bullets being fired at them are ‘unclean’, unless the yoyos take some time out from Defending Amurricca to shout “Hey, unclean bullets!” before they fire…
It’s interesting that they’re basically acknowledging Islam to be the correct religion. If it weren’t, why would the pig’s blood make any difference. The problem is, they misunderstood who was going to hell for dipping the bullets in pig’s blood. Allah will not be pleased with them.
On a practical level, won’t dipping the bullets in anything change their physics just a bit and possibly make them less accurate? Also, I would expect the blood to carbonize on firing so that even if shooting a Muslim with pig’s blood did cause them to go to hell, the blood would have long been turned into CO2 and water before it got to them and so they’d be safe. Unlike the people handling the bullets prior to shooting them.
in short, any Isis or Taliban commander with a recruit who is worried has multiple choices of explanations of why it’s “safe.”

The Sepoy Rebellion is not quite a comparable situation, in that the issue there was the British forcing their Muslim and Hindu soldiers to use ammunition that was lubricated with pig or cow fat (the fact that the standard method for opening the protective paper wrappings round the cartridge was to use one’s teeth added to the problem). These idiots are deliberately trying to play on other people’s religious sensibilities, rather than just utterly dismissive of them.
But there is a long history of using special ammunition against Muslims. The second Lateran Council banned the use of crossbows against Christian targets, and for much of the twelfth and thirteenth centuries it was seen as a specifically anti-Muslim weapon. Eventually, as the prohibitions relaxed, fletchers maintained the notion by developing cross-headed bolts for use against Muslims, where one would use square or round headed ones against Christian targets. As late as the early eighteenth century the idea was still in currency, with gunsmith James Puckle creating two versions of his early rotary tripod gun, one that took round bullets for Christian targets, one that took square bullets for Muslims (his reasoning being that square bullets hurt more, which would help to convince them to convert to Christianity).
