Whatever happened to the Obamacare “death spiral”?
It died, obviously.

It’s a very sad tale, actually. The Obamacare Death Spiral actually gave credence to the bullshit Koch ads, and so never actually registered for coverage under the ACA.

Republicans know it is going to succeed if left alone. That is why they are trying so hard to stop it. Otherwise, they could just stand back, bide their time, and stock up on I-told-you-so.

Once the sound bite wonks decided to refer to the ACA as ‘Obamacare’, the conservatives had to have it fail. Simply no choice.
As soon as that name got locked in, it automatically became President Obama’s legacy.
Neither the birther business nor the embassy attack are really sticking, so this had to be it – Obama’s Waterloo. And it was – the conservatives just didn’t get which side of the battle they were fighting, that’s all.
Yet again, they set themselves up as being the True Voice of Americans while utterly misunderstanding (or ignoring) what Americans were actually saying and doing. Yet again, they can’t back down from this.
It remains to be seen if any lessons are learned.

I heard it signed up quietly, snoeman, but was spotted anyway and referred immediately to a Death Panel.

I finally signed up last night and, although the site here in CT was more than a bit clunky, it worked as long as one had a little patience.
I expect Faux will not report the successful numbers.

They’re just redefining “death spiral” to mean higher premium costs because the HEALTHY aren’t signing up for the private plans.
Which is ALSO not true.
