A Burmese python five full meters long and weighing as much as a full-grown person was found wandering the Florida Everglades, apparently feeling right at home. So right at home she was loaded with 87 eggs to make cue little baby Burmese pythons.
What is it about Florida and invasive species? Over 1300 plant species and 1100 animal species in the state have been identified as non native. Is Florida just full of irresponsible pet owners and shitty gardeners?

just more reason Florida needs better immigration laws. gotta keep those invasive species out. i guarantee you that the 17′ python wasn’t paying any capital gains taxes.

While not quite unique, Southern Florida is just about the only tropical environment in the Continental US.
if I happen to live in Kansas or even Socal and let a burmese python go, it probably doesn’t live out the year.
In Southern Florida is crawls into the jungle and has babies.
