I’m not sure what cave Michael Bloomberg has been buried in for the last 30 years, but he apparently emerged this week and discovered, to his shock, that his former party does not believe in science:
(CBS News) “We have presidential candidates who don’t believe in science,” Bloomberg said at a Columbia University economic forum, the New York Daily News reports. “I mean, just think about it, can you imagine a company of any size in the world where the CEO said ‘oh I don’t believe in science’ and that person surviving to the end of that day? Are you kidding me? It’s mind-boggling!”
Come on, Mike, that’s just fucking ridiculous. It’s mostly CEOs, their heirs, and their wingnut buddies who are funding and spreading this crazy shit in the first place. The Koch brothers, Rev. Moon who seems to own half the freakin world, John Schnatter of Papa John’s, Herman Cain of Godfather’s, the entire Coors beer family, Howard Ahmanson, jr., who bankrolls the creationist Discovery Institute, Mitt Romney of Bain Capital … that’s just off the top of my head. I sympathize with Bloomberg, but the only idea that’s mind-boggling here is that a CEO would be bounced from his or her job because they reject science. That’s about as demonstrably false as it can be.

Bloomberg expects CEOs to understand science? Christ on a cracker, I have met a moderate number of CEOs, regional managers and department heads and in that group dementia, addiction, thievery and personality disorders are standard. Most of the rest are just jerks or dumb fucks.

There’s a simpler explanation:
