Muslims are the fastest growing religious group

Muslims are the world’s fastest-growing religious group, says Pew Research.

The expected growth of Islam around the world is perhaps the most striking finding in the recent Pew Research Center report projecting the future of religious groups. Indeed, Muslims will grow more than twice as fast as the overall world population between 2010 and 2050 and, in the second half of this century, will likely surpass Christians as the world’s largest religious group.

While the world’s population is projected to grow 35% in the coming decades, the number of Muslims is expected to increase by 73% – from 1.6 billion in 2010 to 2.8 billion in 2050. In 2010, Muslims made up 23.2% of the global population. Four decades later, they are expected to make up about three-in-ten of the world’s people (29.7%).

By 2050, Muslims will be nearly as numerous as Christians, who are projected to remain the world’s largest religious group at 31.4% of the global population.

Muslims are the only major religious group which is increasing faster than the world’ population as a whole. It is scary. Maybe a hell of a lot of Muslims would join Muslim terrorist organizations, and they would turn the world into Darul Islam, where not a single non-Muslim will be allowed to live. In the meantime, to save the world it is necessary to abolish Muslim terrorist organizations. Terrorists must be stopped and fundamentalists must not grow.

The main reasons for Islam’s growth ultimately involve simple demographics. To begin with, Muslims have more children than members of the seven other major religious groups analyzed in the study. Each Muslim woman has an average of 3.1 children, significantly above the next-highest group (Christians at 2.7) and the average of all non-Muslims (2.3). In all major regions where there is a sizable Muslim population, Muslim fertility exceeds non-Muslim fertility.

The growth of the Muslim population also is helped by the fact that Muslims have the youngest median age (23 in 2010) of all major religious groups, seven years younger than the median age of non-Muslims (30). A larger share of Muslims will soon be at the point in their lives when people begin having children. This, combined with high fertility rates, will accelerate Muslim population growth.

Large numbers of people are also converting to Islam. I sometimes do not understand why women convert. Educated and intelligent women convert to Islam knowing that Islam oppresses women And Islam is not reformed like other religion.

More than a third of Muslims are concentrated in Africa and the Middle East, regions that are projected to have the biggest population increases. But even within these high-growth regions – as well as others – Muslims are projected to grow faster than members of other groups. For example, Muslims in sub-Saharan Africa, on average, are younger and have higher fertility than the overall population of the region. In fact, Muslims are expected to grow as a percentage of every region except Latin America and the Caribbean, where relatively few Muslims live.

The same dynamics hold true in many countries where Muslims live in large numbers alongside other religious groups. For example, India’s number of Muslims is growing at a faster rate than the country’s majority Hindu population, and is projected to rise from 14.4% of India’s 2010 population to 18.4% (or 311 million people) in 2050. And while there were roughly equal numbers of Muslims and Christians in Nigeria as of 2010, Muslims have higher fertility there and are expected to grow to a solid majority of Nigeria’s population (58.5%) in 2050.

Meanwhile, religious switching, which is expected to hinder the growth of some other religious groups, is not expected to have a negative net impact on Muslims. By contrast, between 2010 and 2050, Christianity is projected to have a net loss of more than 60 million adherents worldwide through religious switching.

Oh My Goosebumps!

A great writer died.

guntar-grass'94
Remembering those days when I met him and talked to him. In Prague, in Berlin. He supported me and my struggle. He was nice, kind, strong, humorous. He was great as a writer and as a person. But still I do not understand why he hid for decades that he had served in the Waffen-SS during the war. I can not forgive him for hiding the truth. And again, I forgive him for not hiding the truth. Good that he revealed the truth while he was alive, in 2006. Good that he revealed, otherwise it would have been worse if people discovered the truth after his death.

A new fatwa from Saudi grand mufti: Men are allowed to eat their wives.

What else is left? Now men are allowed to eat their wives.

Read the news.

Saudi Arabia’s highest religious authority has issued a fatwa allowing a starving man to eat his wife in order to save himself. Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdul Aziz Al-Sheikh, according to the report, said that the act would display the wife’s obedience to her husband and her willingness to become one with his flesh.

Women sacrifice their happiness to make men happy. Now women have to be eaten alive in order to satisfy men’s hunger.

Fuck the fucking grand mufti. Fuck the fucking Sheikh Abdul Aziz Al-Sheikh. Fuck the fucking misogynist cannibal. I love to fuck his brains out, I promise.

Islamists killed students

db6fd17f

Al Shabaab, an Islamic terrorist organization entered a Kenyan university and killed nearly 150 people. I am not surprised. Some Muslims want to practice authentic Islam exactly the way prophet Muhammad practiced 1400 years ago. Don’t say that he did not like violence. There are hundreds of Koranic verses as well as Hadiths preach violence. These Muslims, the followers of Muhammad have many different groups. ISIS, Boko Haram, Al-Shabaab etc.

Islamists systemically murdering intellectuals

Ansarullah Bangla team is an Islamic terrorist organization in Bangladesh. The group takes its ideology from Anwar Al-Awlaki, a Yemen-based Al-Qaeda activist, translations of whose Jihadi texts has been found on the Ansarullah Team website.

Bangladesh police detective disclosed important information which was published in yesterday’s Jugantor newspaper. Ansarullah Bangla team planned to murder all the intellectuals whoever criticized Islam. More than 100 intellectuals and writers are in their hit list. They already brutally killed many talented people including blogger Rajib Haider, blogger and writer Avijit Roy, blogger Washiqur Rahman for criticism of Islam. They say that Allah gets happy if they kill nonbelievers with knives or swords rather than pistols or rifles, and it is better if they kill from the behind instead of the front. They also say that they try to do beheading because Allah prefers beheading.

The team has many hundreds of sleeper cells who are trained to murder in the name of Allah. A sleeper cell does not know about the other sleeper cell. They don’t have more than 3 to 5 members in a sleeper cell. Sleeper cells believe it is their religious duty to kill infidels. There is no doubt that they are massively brainwashed. After murdering Avijit Roy, Rezwanul Azad Rana, the current leader of Amsarullah Bangla team left the country for Australia.

After investigating terrorist activities for months, the police said, the terrorist organization decided to go to India to murder Taslima Nasreen, the writer. The news is in the 2nd page of the Jugantor newspaper. The clipping is attached.
Yep, I am their biggest target. And I am bloody worried.

Bangladesh is not a place for freethinkers.

Avijit Roy was brutally murdered in Bangladesh a month ago. The murderers have not yet been arrested. And yesterday another blogger, atheist and secular humanist Washikur Rahman Babu was brutally murdered by Islamists. Their crime was that they criticized Islam. Bangladeshi Islamists have been systemically murdering all freethinkers.

The murderers of Babu are the Madrasa students. They are brainwashed. They were ordered by their madrasa teacher to kill Washikur Babu. Madrasa students just followed their teacher’s order. Madrasas and mosques are the breeding ground for terrorists. But governments still continue building more madrasas and more mosques all over the country to get votes from ignorant masses. I am not surprised when I hear freethinkers are getting murdered in Bangladesh. Bangladesh has laws against blasphemy. Governments don’t spare ministers when they say unsatisfactory comments on Islam. State religion is Islam. Popular media, such as radio and television praise Islam. Family laws are based on Islam. All the established institutions claim that they all are devout Muslims. There is always a competition between major political parties who would be more religious than others. More women are wearing hijabs, and men are becoming more misogynists. It is not the country I knew in my childhood and adolescence.

Let’s see why Islamists killed Washikur Babu. What he really wrote.

On his page, Rahman reposted a cartoon depicting Prophet Mohammed from the French satire magazine Charlie Hebdo. He wished a happy birthday to author Taslima Nasreen, who was forced to flee Bangladesh due to death threats from fundamentalists. And he “liked” a picture of sausages wrapped in crescent rolls that someone had captioned, “Pigs in burqas.” Posts threatening him were numerous. “Get ready for the afterlife,” one person commented on one of his posts. “See you in hell,” said another. He used to write under the pseudonym “Stupid Man” on a blog but switched to posting on Facebook after 2011. On Facebook, he is credited for a series, “Jaw-crushing answers to insulting comments of atheists.” There, he posted questions that critics of Islam often raised and then answered them. But he paired the answers in such a way that they highlighted the contradiction within Islam. For example, one question asked what proof was there that the Quran was the word of God. The answer, “Mohammed said in his own words that the Quran is the word of God. Since Mohammed is the messenger of Allah, his claims are true.” He placed the question next to one that asked, “What is the proof that Mohammed was the messenger of Allah?” The answer, “The Quran claims that Mohammed was the messenger of Allah. And since the Quran is God’s word, its claims must be true.”

No Bangladesh government takes action against the Muslim terrorists when they kill atheists and freethinkers. Even so called moderate Muslims do not mind if atheists get brutally murdered. They rather blame atheist bloggers for writing blogs.

Don’t call me Muslim, I am an atheist.

Writer-in-exile Taslima Nasreen calls for reining in religious fundamentalism, saying that criticism of religion is not the domain of non-Muslim intellectuals alone

Writer Taslima Nasreen fled Bangladesh in 1994 when extremists threatened to kill her for criticising Islam, and has been living in exile since. Her country has, in recent times, seen many intellectuals expelled or killed. Ahmed Rajib Haider, an atheist blogger who wrote under the name Thaba Baba, was hacked to death after the Shahbag protests in 2013. In February this year, atheist blogger Avijit Roy was killed in Dhaka by extremist groups for his writings on the Bangla blog Mukto-Mona (Free Thinker) that he founded. Feminist and secular humanist Ms Nasreen now lives in New Delhi. In an interview with Suvojit Bagchi, she spoke about the shrinking space for free thinkers in Bangladesh and says that Islam cannot be exempt from the critical scrutiny that other religions go through.

Tell us a little bit about Avijit Roy.

I knew Avijit for a long time. He started Mukto-Mona to accommodate writings of atheists and humanists, as newspapers do not publish their work. Avijit was a science blogger and a free thinker, an atheist and a rationalist, who wanted to secure a space to dissect and debate issues. Later, he turned his blogs into books. Mukto-Mona became a window through which people could look at each other and raise questions about all religions, including Islam. In Bangladesh, over a period, the space for free thinkers has been disappearing. Avijit brought it back using a new platform… precisely why his contribution is outstanding.

When and how exactly did this space for free thinkers start shrinking?

The change was noticed at the time of General Hussain Ershad in the mid-1980s. A secular Constitution was given away to make Islam the state religion. I have witnessed the mass movement of 1969, the newly independent country of the 70s… the situations then were different. People could voice their opinion and women hardly wore the hijab or the burqa. But society slowly changed. For instance, whatever I wrote in the 1980s, early 90s — criticising Islam and women’s condition in Islamic societies — was published in newspapers with a wide circulation. But that cannot be imagined now. Freedom of expression is an alien term now.

Why has this change taken place?

The progressive community is partly responsible. When I was expelled in 1994, the whole of society went silent. If this community had objected then, Bangladesh would not have had a society in which an Avijit is hacked to death, a Humayun Azad targeted or an Ahmed Rajib Haider killed for criticising Islam. Perhaps the conflict in Bangladesh is whether to have a country on the basis of language or on the basis of religion.

How can this be resolved?

“We must stop stoning women to death in the name of religion. Laws should be based on equality, not on religion”
Bangladesh was born on the idea of a secular Bengali nation. Since 1952, Bengali Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists and Christians have wanted their state language to be Bengali, not Urdu. The people who opposed our independence, along with the Pakistani army, killed three million Bengalis in 1971 and are now involved in the Islamisation of Bangladesh. They are killing free thinkers and intellectuals. Pakistan is a country which is based on religion. But the Bangladesh constitution must remain secular, and separate state from religion. We must have secular education rather than education through madrassas. The government must not let the country become a safe haven for religious extremists.

People say your criticism of religion is rather excessive and provocative.

I said religion oppresses women. Laws should be based on equality, not on religion; women should have equal rights in marriage, divorce, child custody and inheritance. I said we must stop stoning women to death in the name of religion. Is that provocation? Every civilised state has questioned the relationship of the state with religion, eventually disentangling and distancing the two. Islam should not be exempt from the critical scrutiny that other religions have gone through. My opinion is based on my belief in secular humanism. If that is provocative, then it is absolutely necessary to provoke.

But it’s often said that your writings strengthen fundamentalism.

Governments are strengthening fundamentalism, not me. When religious fanatics set a price on my head, instead of taking action against them, the government targeted me. The Awami League and the Bangladesh Nationalist Party joined hands with these forces and so did the caretaker government. Even in West Bengal, the Communist Party of India (Marxist)-led government expelled me; the Imam Barkati of the Tipu Sultan Mosque, who set a price on my head, was adored by the Marxists. Interestingly, Mamata Banerjee befriended the Imam as soon as she came to power.

Another allegation is that by making statements against Islam, you strengthen the right wing in India.

Absolute nonsense. I criticise all religions, including Hinduism. I opposed Hindu godmen, rituals such as karva chauth and shivaratri, and condemned the oppression of Muslims in Gujarat. I donated Rs.10,000 to poet Shankha Ghosh, who was collecting funds for rehabilitating Gujarat riot victims. I objected to the oppression of Hindus in Bangladesh, objected to Jewish oppression in Nazi Germany, objected to Muslim oppression in Bosnia, Palestine, and Christian oppression in Pakistan. I also wrote in favour of films such as PK, Water and The Last Temptation of Christ. Please don’t call me a Muslim, I am an atheist.

When Indian rationalist Narendra Dabholkar and CPI leader Govind Pansare were killed, you were silent.

Who told you? You need to check my Twitter account to find out about my reactions and how the Hindu right-wing elements abused me for that. However, it is true that I consider Islamic fundamentalism a bigger threat.

As do many western countries…

Only the western world thinks that Islamic fundamentalism is dangerous? Rather, it’s the opposite — the West is keen to side with Islamists.

As a Muslim writer, your work often reflects the West’s paranoia about Islam. Is the West forcing you to say what it wants?

Are you saying Muslims cannot have a mind of their own to criticise their religion? Is criticism of religion the domain of non-Muslim intellectuals? That is an anti-Muslim remark, seriously.

What could be Bangladesh’s future?

The country will be heading for a complete disaster if Islamic terrorists are not brought to justice. However, given the past record, nothing will happen and such incidents will increase in the coming months, as they are intrinsically connected with politics.
