About 20 years ago I decided to collect 1st editions and hardbound versions of the books that have been memorable or important to me. That was how I learned a cool bibliophilic thing: most of us like things from our own time, and they’re not rare or antique books yet.
Over at Affinity, Caine posted a bit about Witcher 3 [aff] which is, in case you haven’t heard, a really good game. (It has some issues, like that the main character is a graying cis white dude)
When I was in high school, my best friend, Rachel R., discovered Alfred Jarry. For some time after that, bicycles were “that which rolls” and occasionally there would be cries of “merdre!”
Cleaning up some stuff over at the studio, I “eeped” when I picked up a box of stuff that had been sitting for a year or so, and something moved – quickly – in it.
I really managed to let this project go over the top and into the weeds…
I was on facebook a few minutes ago, and saw a pretty cool wall-hanging digital print of a halloween scary thing, clicked on it, and wound up at a vendor page that included: a picture of me!
