Among the Trumpists

I have to admit that hearing Trump supporters say the most clueless things seems to never get old. I am impressed by Jordan Klepper’s ability to find among them people who can be made to say the most absurd things.

Fellow Daily Show correspondent Michael Kosta seems to be developing his chops in this area as well as he asks them what they think of Trump’s Space Force.

Idiocracy was not supposed to be a documentary, but apparently, the US has a head-start to make it happen.

I wish I could find an app that could just seamlessly filter out any content that contains the words “Idiocracy” and “documentary” in the same sentence, so I didn’t have to see the same tired, cliched “insight” every twenty fucking minutes since about October 2015.

Would it be possible to either
    (a) supply links that work outside the UK or
    (b) give a clue to the content so it can be searched and viewed in versions that are not region-locked?

    Thanks

    I am in Canada.
I have a free VPN installed in my Chrome Browser. For some weird reason it was set to Moscow. I clicked on it, intending to switch to a US location but it opened the first link with no problem.

All praise to the blessed Putin!

If you have Chrome it is pretty easy to install the VPN and usually but not always works for the US. Note to self--stay with Moscow

It is likely that Mano doesn’t know they will not work outside of USA, being that he has chosen links that appear to work without issue to him. Anyway, there is always tor browser.

Really, I had not realized that. Something to consider if my VPN does not work assuming I can find the tor USB.

When I was growing up in Virginia Professional Wrestling was big. I never liked it, it was contrived and obvious, but lots of people loved it. I kind of saw what they liked about it. The characters were never neutral. Every character was set up either as a good guy or a heel. They were either outrageously bad, or glaringly good. Very few nuances or subtleties. Sometimes they would have reversals but it was all part of a perfectly understandable story line. As story line so simple and slowly paced that you could have a bathroom break and get another cold one and still keep up on the plot line.

This seems to be how a lot of Republicans like their politics. Simple morality plays, lots of primary colors, clues to remind you who is who and what side they are on.

This is the sort of slow and familiar story telling that young children love. Like being read the same book hundreds of times.
