What to see in Cleveland

Cleveland is my hometown but I am not the best person to tell visitors what to do and see while here since I am not a particularly touristy kind of person. So I was grateful for this review of the city by William O’Connor that points out some of the places worth seeing, most of which I have not been to.

Lots of good things to see in Cleveland.
O’Connors snide comments about Lakeview Cemetery aside, it really is an amazing place. As I understand it, cemeteries used to be used as public parks. Consequently, the landscape is amazing, with trees and shrubs that are 50 -- 100 years old. (Now is the time to go visit, when many of them are in bloom).

Also, the Wade Chapel (on the grounds of Lakeview) is absolutely stunning. The Tiffany stained glass has to be seen in person.

    Pictures don’t do it justice.

    Timothy,

I agree with you about Lakeview. I have been there many times and it is truly a joy to visit, more of a park than a cemetery.
