One of the things that Meyers mentions is Donald Trump’s obsessive dedication to playing golf, that he played it on five consecutive days recently. There seems to something peculiar about a grown man who has a lot of responsibilities wanting to spend so much time on such a time-consuming pastime. I can understand people who take up a sport as part of daily exercise routine. But Trump rides around in a golf cart and only gets out of it to walk a few steps to hit the ball, so we can rule out health concerns and exercise as a reason for him playing so much. I know people who are golfers and they enjoy the game but I don’t know anyone who seems to be as determined to play as much as Trump seems to be. Is playing golf a form of addiction for him?
