As you know, you can preview a comment and edit out any errors but once you post a comment, you cannot make any further changes. If by any chance some typos or other error sneaks through and it is driving you crazy, you can send me an email (see the bio box on the left for the address) and I am willing to make the change on your behalf.

Will you somehow indicate the comment was edited after posting (at the commentator’s request)? Admittedly, for obvius Tpyos offerings (such as just (dleiberatly) done) or HTML borks, it’s perhaps not that important, but on occasion can change the meaning (such as correcting the intentional ones in this comment). Indicating that the comment was edited with the concurrence of the commentator is then perhaps intellectually honest & fair.

Comments will only be corrected as instructed by the original poster.

I take it that means it’s up to the requesting commentator to ask for an indication the comment was edited? Which means that, in the absence any such per-comment instruction, there will be no intentional indication.

I’m a long-time reader and have no reason to doubt Mano’s probity (rather, the opposite) regarding this blog, so I’m happy to take him at his word. I think it’s a generous offer.

Mano has already corrected two of my posts when I did not close a quote.
We should be pleased with the service.
