    Yet another person who makes the mistake of thinking that the guy in the painting “The Scream” is screaming, rather than what he’s actually doing, which is reacting in horror to a scream he can hear

    That’s not how art works. Once it is released it is free to be interpreted as the viewer/listener/reader interpreters it. So if someone see’s a man screaming, it’s a man screaming.

    If you’re going to try to condescend about something, try to be right. Otherwise you look not only dense, but the worst kind of dense -- confidently,categorically, pridefully dense .

    And I guess if someone sees a cunning strategic genius in the White House, there’s a cunning strategic genius in the White House? You’re entitled to your own opinion, you’re not entitled to your own facts.

    Ironically, the guy from “The Scream” would be the guy to ask -- the scream of the title, the sound to which his facial expression is a horrified, silent reaction, is the scream of the world… and so far, in my lifetime, the world has never screamed like it’s screaming right now.
