That’s not how art works. Once it is released it is free to be interpreted as the viewer/listener/reader interpreters it. So if someone see’s a man screaming, it’s a man screaming.
If you’re going to try to condescend about something, try to be right. Otherwise you look not only dense, but the worst kind of dense -- confidently,categorically, pridefully dense .

Ironically, the guy from “The Scream” would be the guy to ask -- the scream of the title, the sound to which his facial expression is a horrified, silent reaction, is the scream of the world… and so far, in my lifetime, the world has never screamed like it’s screaming right now.
