The comedian died today at the age of 66. He was a very funny guy, playing a neurotic personality. I used to watch his early TV show It’s Garry Shandling’s Show where he frequently broke the fourth wall. His opening theme prepared you for a zany experience.
He then had the The Larry Sanders Show where he played a talk show host and it spoofed the entire genre of late night talk shows. Here is one scene with his sidekick Hank played by Jeffrey Tambor.

Released very recently, the vague mentions of ill health, and the discussion of what Garry wants at his funeral, seem almost premonitory.
