The local branch of Americans United for Separation of Church and State is having a forum on the above topic.
Date and Time: Wednesday, July 10, 6:30-9:00 pm (i.e., today)
Where: The Moot Court room in CWRU Law School building, 11075 East Boulevard, Cleveland, Ohio.
The program is free and open to all and refreshments will be served afterward.
The panel consists of:
Elise Helgesen Aguilar, State Legislative Counsel at Americans United for Separation of Church and State, who will describe what their organization stands for.
Piet van Lier, communications director at Policy Matters Ohio, who will talk about how vouchers impact education in Ohio.
Mano Singham on why science is important and policy decisions on things like climate change should be based on science rather than religious dogma.
Mallory McMaster Ullman, NARAL Pro-Choice Ohio, on what has happens when we base woman’s health and reproductive decisions in the wrong hands.
There should be plenty of time for questions and discussion.
Pierce R. Butler says
On the most general level, mixing religion into politics encourages credulity exactly when skeptical probing is most needed.
Thus we end up with “change” nobody should believe in.

PS: Isn’t there a word missing from the post title and first line?
daved says
Yup, just like when Mano did the same thing a couple of days ago. At least he’s consistent.
Mano Singham says
That’s what happens when you change just the blog post and not the source document and then lazily copy it later!
Thanks, corrected.
