I wrote last week about the religious alternatives to watching yesterday’s Super Bowl halftime show. For those who were not thrilled by the prospect of hearing testimonies by athletes or lessons from the Torah or dislike football entirely, I just heard that Animal Planet channel has for some years been counter-programing the Super Bowl with something called the Puppy Bowl that is apparently quite popular.

Unfortunately I do not have cable TV so could not have watched it anyway even if I had heard of it in time but here is a clip from past years to whet your appetite for next year’s game. I must say that I was disappointed in the officiating of the Puppy Bowl. There was one puppy that should have definitely been called for unnecessary roughness.
