He elaborates on his article that I linked to earlier where he says that we are over-reacting to the danger posed by Iran obtaining a nuclear bomb.
Oddly enough, the big fuss made by the Republican candidates over the recent rise in gas prices may have put a damper on the idea of starting a war with Iran, since such a move would undoubtedly raise prices even more. Thus even though they all seem to be itching to start a war with Iran, their impulse to blame Obama for every single negative economic sign may have postponed this goal.

I must say that I find the musings of people like Mr. Pillar rather interesting. They remind me of the folks who didn’t think that Frankenberger was dangerous and the folks who maintained that Mao Tse Tung and Fidel Castro were agrarian reformers.
