Although the problems with the media that I have described are largely structural, it is possible to identify particularly insidious influences that are epitomize its decline and Rupert Murdoch is the undoubted leader.

It’s scary to think about the massive influence that Murdock holds and how he chooses to wield it (with a certain goal or objective outside of simply reporting the news and keeping politicians honest).
I wonder if we see even more consolidation over the ensuing years as radio has had a significant version itself, when does the same thing happen to tv?
