Once again, an American team has won the World Series, which means that, apart from 1992 and 1993, a US team has been world champions every single year, a truly impressive achievement.
There was no World Series in 1994, so the non-US team that won in 1993 got to hold the title for TWO years. I’m sure that blatant unfairness was the impetus for the US’s current 16 year hot streak.

Bah…the Montreal Expos were gonna win the 94 World Series, so the strike was just a ruse to make it so that Canada didn’t win it 3 years in a row.
We were dreaming of a Toronto-Montreal WS that year too…that would have been hilarious.
