We are experiencing unseasonably warm winter weather here in Minnesota — it’s been above freezing for a week, the snow is all melting, I can go outside without a coat, all that stuff you might take for granted in tropical states, like Kansas. But you know what that means? The spiders are coming out! We’re finding little adorable jumping spiders all over the place, like this one:
It’s not all delightful news, though. I don’t trust the weather. We could get another arctic blast in February, and then these early risers are going to get a rude shock.
They better all come into my house to stay warm.

Dude, if you don’t rescue that poor spider and keep it safe and warm….!!

We didn’t have a proper winter here ( eastern TN that is ) an about a decade. All we get is the occasional arctic fart from the north, causing a few snow days at most, and unreasonably warm weather in between.
However, pretty much every year we get one of those outbreaks in march, just in time to kill off all the blossoms on my peach tree.

What exactly is “seasonable?” What you’ve personally experienced in your own lifetime? Or only what you can remember? I’m almost 52 and I’ve lived through many warm winters with hardly any snow. Big deal. Who cares? Some other year we’ll have tons of snow. You’ll blame both on “climate change,” just like when there are few or many hurricanes along the East Coast. Whatever fits your narrative, Pizz.

Wheee! Another troll lured in by the climate denialists, who is now scurrying through old posts to leave idiotic comments.
