This is how I like to see conservatives represented: briefly, and distilled down to the essence of their lunacy. I guess Tucker Carlson and Alex Jones sat down together for a tête-à-tête, with Carlson being fawning and praising Jones, and Jones being mutedly rabid. You couldn’t pay me to sit through the whole thing, but here it is edited down to 56 seconds.
It’s rather revolting watching Carlson sucking up all the shit Jones is spraying all over the place, so under a minute is right there at the limit of my tolerance.
Rich Woods says
Thanks, PZ, but I think I can find a more constructive use for my 56 seconds. There’s a dog’s skidmark on the kitchen floor that needs wiping up and disinfecting.
whywhywhy says
Has Jones paid any of his court cases that he lost? Will he ever pay them?
raven says
On the bright side, neither Carlson nor Alex Jones are ever right about anything.
It’s just words strung together meaning nothing.
Alex Jones just makes stuff up without ever worrying about whether it makes sense or is true.
He is also very predictable, picking up right wingnut fantasies and repeating them. It’s not even hard to do that.
Here is what he had to say about the Covid-19 virus vaccines.
Of course it has nothing to do with reality.
microraptor says
@2: He hasn’t paid a dime of what he was ordered to and it’s looking a whole lot like he never will.
robro says
Just the poster image on the video is more than I can tolerate. Please put disgusting things like that below the fold.
wzrd1 says
whywhywhy @ 2, as I recall, he lost yet another appeal and request for a new trial.
“By the end of the summer of 2023, Jones had paid nothing to the families.”
He also tried to declare bankruptcy and the court pretty much told him to pound sand, only not as nicely, when translating from court speak. As he’s filed corporate and personal bankruptcy, just to further show contempt for our legal system and system of government, he’s been receiving salt for his wounds.
“In November 2023, the Sandy Hook families offered a settlement in which Jones would pay about 6 percent of what he had been court-ordered to pay. The offer was filed within Jones’s personal bankruptcy case.”
Given his repeated history of non-compliance with discovery motions, I’m certain that he’ll simply try to ignore the judgement of the courts – right until seizure of his assets occurs.
As for this interview, two has-beens, paying the price of their repeated offenses poorly, have had an interview. Both, creating debts due to their repeated offenses that could pay off the US national debt. With Carlson and his peers causing sufficient threatened damage in court to cause massive unrest within the Fox media empire and Jones owing everything he owns, save his worthless internal organs.
So, the interview was two has-beens screeching that they wannabe. And their god-king, emperor wannabe has abandoned them, just to further add to their cumulative worthlessness.
Personally, I wish them nothing but the worst.
raven says
This is from Infowars 2009 about the Swine flu vaccine.
None of what they wrote ever happened.
The world population wasn’t genocided by the Swine flu vaccine.
No one was forced to take the vaccine or get sent to prison.
The FEMA concentration camps never even existed.
What really happened was that the Swine flu vaccine was successful and saved quite a few lives.
wzrd1 says
Oh, a bit of encouragement about Jones.

Oh, the poor dear, living in a hell of his own making. Excuse me while I gather some coal, to sooth his pain…
HidariMak says
A few months ago Tucker interviewed somebody who became famous among the delusional rightwing back in 2009, for saying that he (the guest) was with President Obama to smoke crack and have gay sex. That Xit show is a perfect encapsulation on Fox News’ former #1 star and Elon Musk’s vanity antisocial media site.
outis says
#3, raven: “…so that many of them can no longer eat beef” they actually said that? What’s extraordinary is that someone, anyone could swallow that rubbish.
Also, four-time vaxxed and I’m having beef stew tonight. Cheers!
rietpluim says
@PZ – I’m not sure whether they are the two most annoying people in the world. You may be doing injustice to Elon Musk or Jordan Peterson.
Akira MacKenzie says
@3
As if being right or wrong matters.
Kristjan Wager says
The latest episode of Knowledge Fight covers this interview. It’s worse than you might expect
gijoel says
Apparently Musk wants to bring Jones back to SHitter.
gijoel says
Also I like Wil Wheaton’s takedown of Musk.
timgueguen says
I wonder what would happen if you stuck Carlson, Jones, Jordan Peterson, and Joe Rogan in a room together. Probably a massive explosion as a critical mass of stupidity particles resulted.
Nemo says
@3:
No offense to Healthfeedback.org, but this is less than half of a correction to Jones’ burning stupidity. Notice the bigger problem: Even the animal-derived vaccines (i.e., the ones that do</> contain animal proteins) cause an allergic reaction in those who already have AGS (similar to if they had eaten meat). They do not cause AGS. (AFAIK, AGS is the result of a tick-borne infection.)
Nemo says
sorry for broken tags, hopefully the intent is still clear
Pierce R. Butler says
raven @ # 3, quoting healthfeedback.org: … alpha-gal syndrome (AGS).
If/when I take up pimping dominatrices, I will incorporate my service as Alpha-Gal.
christoph says
Tucker is quite the skilled bootlicker, isn’t he.
John Morales says
christoph, think of it as acting. He’s an actor, earns a shitload of money acting.
He plays this particular character, of course.
Yet, as the recent court action has shown, he knew he was playing a role.
Bullshitting. Bootlicking. All in-character.
(He’s rather wealthy thereby, BTW)
