FWIW. The related activity of train surfing (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Train_surfing ) has been a thing for a while in various forms – for better and worse, legal and not so much ..
A google search reveals there are youtube videos of it and accounts from all over the world including a paywalled Murdoch press one from Adelaide, Oz, where I live,. Vice news has this :
Is this one of those internet challenges?
I have another. #TiePillowsAroundYourselfAndLetATrainHitYouChallenge

Im curious as to how you came to the conclusion its a she that is doing this. The linked story doesnt say its a female and the video provided doesnt get close enough to tell one way or the other.

Look instead to Priscilla, Queen of the Desert. No need to worry about fremen and water.
We had teens in the 1990s who did that. One did it on the roof of a car in the parking lot of a high school. Driver had to hit the brakes to avoid a collision and she was thrown.
Even at low speed, she was in a coma for several weeks and had a brain injury. Thankfully, she recovered but I was damn sure to never try that.

@ 1. As Fremen go, it seems a waste of water to me though I can imagine it could be fun and exhilerating if done right
Of course potentially life-changing or life ending, traumatically for the person doing it and others if done wrong..

Well, deserts generally do make water something one needs to worry about but yes :

Whilst deaths have occurred such as this one :

leading to changes to bus designs to stop people doing that.

Perhaps she was just trying to get the driver to stop so she could get off at an unscheduled location. Seems to have worked.

Bus scene from Priscilla Queen of the Desert although tlloks this the bus surfing Queen here was very much well secured.
WARNING : Some potentially triggering child sexual references albeit with a comical twist – nothing graphic.
