Glory! Welcome the Jubilee!

I drove by the local grocery store, and there, on the other side of the street, was a…was a…you won’t believe this, but I actually saw a…

TACO TRUCK!!!

In Morris! I don’t know if it’ll be here for long, but we were promised this way back in 2016. At last it has been accomplished, at last it is done.

(I didn’t actually stop at the taco truck — there were several people in line, but I don’t do that anymore.)

If tacos are your idea of civilisation PZ then Morris must be very uncivilised indeed.

Trump warned us about this, foreign food replacing our wholesome western cuisine. Soon a man won’t be able to eat an overcooked steak with tomato sauce, without some sjw putting couscous or vegetables on our plate. /s

@7, Incinerate the poutine as biowaste and then have lunch on yer favourite taco truck. In the afternoon, as an added measure of safety, rocket the incinerated poutine remains into the Sun.

We knew this was coming, ever since Marco Gutierrez, Latinos for Trump founder, said on national TV in 2016, “My culture is a very dominant culture,” he argued. “And it’s imposing, and it’s causing problems. If you don’t do something about it, you’re gonna have taco trucks every corner.”

    Oh ye of little taste!

Tacos sound fine down in the tropics of Ohio or Missouri but we are talking about the near North where a well-crafted poutine is essential for survival.

Note: The mozzarella vs curds dispute can get heated but, I suspect, a bit of heat in Morris may be often welcome.

Taco truck? Ha! Show me a food truck with tripletas and I will be impressed (and jealous).

Ha! Provincials, Midwestern Flatlanders, what do you know? I live just up U.S.12 between Yakima, WA and next to the Nimíipuu (Nez PerceZ) reservation (Treaty of 1855) and we get the best flatbread and Street Tacos in this country, about anywhere you look. Trucks, car trunks, highway stands, holes-in-the-wall resturaunts, you name it. Spent most of my discretionary funds on those midday and midnight meals, and I regret nothing. Only thing, we have not one even semi-decent bagal shop. Guess I shouldn’t brag

I am lucky i can get fish tacos around here and some times I get really lucky and find tacos de lengua
which might be found out in the country, hard to find in the city., unless the customers are Mexican from the country.
I forgot PZ is now a vegetarian, probably good for the heart to eliminate the animal fat in my diet but I have cut it down to only one meal a day and sad to say no cheese either very sad that. Oh well!

This place is supposed to be good, but I’ve not managed to sample the food yet because covid. They have tripletas on bread and as plantain cups.

Ah, yes, the ptomaine wagon. I remember them fondly, sometimes. My stomach gurgles whenever I see one. Whether hungry or afraid I can’t tell.

Only Gordo’s over here, and it’s not even truck-shaped. Hope hairnet dude is ok…

Glory in Morris: The Taco Truck arrives.
Reykjavik, Iceland: The closest volcano erupts. What the fuck, Iceland?

During the recent Texas Ice Storm, the only hot food I got for 3 days was from a taco truck off I-10 and Wilcrest. In the event of a direct nuclear strike on my city, I am 100% sure that the Taco trucks will not only be serving, but will not have even raised their prices.
