I do miss seeing song birds here in Denver. They’ve been decimated by a loss of food supply. Last fall I didn’t I still see a single flock gathering for migration. There’s still a few crows and the resident geese around, even a hawk or two. I don’t know what kind. I don’t know birds very well. A few months ago there was a little flock of small birds in a bush in the yard. They were an intense blue-gray and black, maybe a dozen, flitting around the branches for a few minutes while I stood next to the bush. Then they were gone in a little cloud. It was nice.

Whenever i hear the word Cardinal ,i always think of the Filipino Cardinal who’s surname was Sin .

I used to see them in NYC . No one has backyards any more so they have places to find seeds and insects even though the city has more street trees
