Amy Schumer had a guy kicked out of one of her shows just for being a man’s man! All he was doing was shouting manly things at her and wearing a manly t-shirt!
Censorship! Oppression! Free speech! Bi…aaaargh! I’m being silenced! <falls to floor writhing, foaming at the mouth>
We can all console ourselves with the high likelihood that he retired to a bar afterwards, where his fellow bros all congratulated him and pounded his back and bought him beer.

*Spoiler Alert*
The YouTube comments are exactly what you’d expect.
busterggi says
It may be sexist but I wish I were young enough to be in a relationship with AS in which that was an acceptable request. Oh, and I don’t mean in public.

busterggi,
There was no need to bring eau de youtube comments over here, but now that you have:
Why exactly did you need to share your preferences with the commentariat? Serious question.
Beatrice, an amateur cynic looking for a happy thought says
It’s perfectly fine to look at her and let your mind go to a fantasy that would include the phrase, but why include an actual comment about it in a comment section of a post concerning her dealing with a sexist dude who felt entitled to do the same while she works.
I am baffled by the thought process involved in typing that comment and hitting post.
busterggi says
Wishful thinking I guess. I think AS is very attractive and am willing to say so. That I would say more to her IF the circumstances were right and we were in a relationship is something I don’t think is offense. In the real world where I’m old enough to be her father and we don’t know one another I wouldn’t say such things. And I certainly wouldn’t do so in a situation to embarass her.
Moggie says
Wow, it only took two comments to get a report from some dude’s boner. Remarkable.
Moggie says
When you need to start a comment with “it may be sexist but…”, maybe you should keep it to yourself?
DanDare says
Busterggi you seem to think that comments hete are an appropriate private place to utter your self stroking fantasy?
sipelgas says
If it is of some consolation to you, the guy in question have apologized in Swedish newspapers, saying he had had too much beer and now is feeling like “a bag of shit”.
tkreacher says
Busterggi,
Gross.
Who cares? Who did you think was interested in the fact that you’re an old man who wants to have sex with Amy Schumer – who is, tangentially, according to you, too young for you? What would possess you to take the effort to type that out for us?
Beatrice, an amateur cynic looking for a happy thought says
sipelgas,
Good. I hope it was a “being a sexist douchebag is bad” lesson instead of “being publicly mocked for being a sexist douchebag is bad” lesson that he learned.

The Grauniad points out that Ms Schumer, very much to her credit, “has a history of confronting sexist or derogatory remarks” (Amy Schumer throws sexist heckler out of Stockholm show).
Beatrice, an amateur cynic looking for a happy thought says
Some people (at least among TheMarySue commentariat) are disappointed she didn’t heckle him back, but I think this is an even better response.
He wasn’t funny, his heckling didn’t contribute to the show. He was a nuisance who got thrown out.
busterggi says
Compliments are sexist.
Insults are sexist.
Apparently the only acceptable comments men can make are about the weather.

Which comment was a compliment?
Which was an insult?
Beatrice, an amateur cynic looking for a happy thought says
busterggi,
Did you compliment Amy’s work, her talent, even her response to the sexist fool? I’m sure you’d had gotten tons of criticism if you had complimented her on any of those.
Don’t play a fool, it doesn’t suit you.
Beatrice, an amateur cynic looking for a happy thought says
busterggi,
Even you yourself acknowledge that you’re going to say something sexist by starting with “It may be sexist but” and then you complain when other people note the same.
Matrim says
@17, Beatrice
But, don’t you see? By preempting criticism by calling it out himself, he negated all possible negative reactions. Kinda like starting a tirade with “I’m not racist, but…” means you can be criticized for being racist. I mean, you just said you weren’t, where do these people get off not grasping that! /snark
Seriously, busterggi, stop digging. Acknowledge that you were crass, stop doubling down by attempting to defend that crassness, and move on.

You are saying it in such a world.
