My students told me today that instead of lecturing, I ought to show that video of drunk girls and puppies over and over. I didn’t. But apparently everyone needs some cuteness. Will this do?

I was told a story when I was young about how women ruled the world until man worked our where babies came from and made sure all the women were pregnant at the same time and then took over when they were all defenceless.
I thought it was a bit dubious – now I know it was wine and puppies they used!
*sigh* Spiders are not cute. They are terrifying. (I’m rather arachnophobic… :( ) Though I will say that this picture in particular doesn’t terrify me so much… oddly…
That video was awesome, though. But now I need drunk guys surprised with kittens (though they should perhaps be choosy about the guys they use, because many drunk guys are the worst).

Have to admit, animal babies are cute. We have some new cuteness at the Die Anyway household… 4 new baby Ball Pythons just hatched. Not so thrilled about spider hatchlings. The ones in my garage always turn out to be Black Widows.
I’ve had a garden spider on my porch for the past month or so. I had the most realistic spiderweb for Halloween. But, she’s not been doing much of late. The web was starting to look a bit ragged and she took it down yesterday and didn’t put it back. I can see her tucked in the corner of the roof so she’s still around. It was really cold last night (for San Diego). I don’t know how much longer she has with me.

But then, I’ve always been a poor judge of age.
