My daughter loves Goodnight Moon (and apparently has a rare copy from the 80s called “Goodnight Moon Room” – it’s a collector’s edition that she’s practically torn to pieces). I was thinking about picking up “Goodnight, iPad” as a joke, but if this ever came into print, I’d have to reconsider that choice…
Yeah, but then you have to explain that, no, your training pants aren’t stillsuits, so you aren’t supposed to pee in them.

well that is cute, though from my experience the strength of books like the one that this example is based on is the naming of the ordinary things in print. as in
Are You My Mother and I’ll Teach My Dog 100 Words. both of which I read over and over to my son until I started to change the words around for fun I was always corrected.

The room in Goodnight, Keith Moon would actually be Harry Nilsson’s London flat where both Cass Elliot and Keith Moon died about 2 years apart.

I did a lot of reading to my children at bedtime. I read ‘Lord Of The Rings’, ‘The Hobbit’, and “The Foundation Trilogy’. I don’t think they would have liked ‘Dune’. But who knows?
