Another coup for FtB

Our latest, newest, bestest addition to the stable (so new he hasn’t even had time to post anything yet!) is Eric MacDonald of Choice in Dying. I’d tell you all to go say hello but you might want to wait a bit until he has something more relevant than the generic “Hello world!” post in place.

    I’ve been following Eric regularly for a couple of years.

    He’s quite amazing. It is a coup for FtB to land him here.

    Although I’m not sure he’ll like all the pie fights. His current site attracts a kinder, gentler brand of troll.

    Fantastic! Eric is one of the most thoughtful writers out there. Plus, he has unique insight into the machinations of religion as a former Anglican priest.

    Awesome!

    Now if only we could get the Skepchicks and Jerry Coyne to join up, all my favourite blogs would be hosted here. Well, “website” in Jerry’s case.

    Wow, that’s great news. I’ve been following him for a long time. (Watch your back, MacDonald!) He’ll definitely add a different flavor than your typical FTB blogger.

    Eric0: not much chance with Coyne. He’s enamored of the slymepitters. No likey FTBullies, that Coyne.

    No way! This is indeed a coup, I have been following Eric for a while. Most emphatically welcome to our new FTBlogger!

    @Josh

    Admittedly, I haven’t been reading WEIT as much as I used to over the last few months. Please tell me he didn’t go all Russel Blackford on us while my head was turned. That would really ruin my day.

    I do know that he has a few known slymepitters in his comment section, but I figured that his policy was to tolerate them as long as they don’t use his blog as a soapbox.

    Freethought Blogs has been my education for some time but when I discovered Eric MacDonald, well, he’s the first thing I click on each morning.

    Choice in Dying

    It’s a limited choice. You may have some leeway in when, where and how, but there simply is no choice in whether. It’s like those idiots who tell you that ‘freedom of religion’ means you can join any Christian denomination you want, but you can’t be atheist!

    Such an important topic – I hadn’t heard of him but can’t wait to read his blog.

    Some earlier praise for MacDonald:

    In the case of Eric MacDonald, any fame he has earned is very much deserved. He understands all those “sophisticated” theological arguments the four horsemen, Pz, JC et at are alleged to ignore.
