She’s going to be live-tweeting the Creation Evidence Expo in Indianapolis this weekend. It looks awful and hilarious; Carl Baugh will be there with his hair, and John Whitcomb, the guy who poisoned a generation’s minds, and and a host of lesser intellectual vacuums who will do their best to reduce the knowledge in the lecture rooms over the next few days.
Also, if you don’t do Twitter, she’ll be posting a post-catastrophe brain dump on Biodork. I can kind of guess what ‘evidence’ for creationism they’ll be dragging out, but it’ll be good to be updated on what the loons are thinking is important nowadays.

And on the sixth day, God made stupid people.
Don’t thwart his plans, or you’ll burn.

McC2lhu saw what you did there. says
Oh. I thought I had seen that there was something like this already…let me look through the mail.
Oh, yes! Here it is: Doors ‘R’ Us – “Parade of Doorknobs!”
I knew I had seen something similar.

I never noticed scientific conferences with musical guests before.
Still, I might be interested in the lecture “What is Truth?” since that’s always a common subject of contention among scientists, right?
I live in Indianapolis.
Oddly, while this city is awash in conference centers! This is taking place in one of our redneck suburbs at a “Life Center”.
Oh, those wacky scientistologists.

I don’t think I’ll be attending that conference. There might be a few laughs, but most of it would be oh, so boring.
A question for PZ: I am reading blogs in my RSS reader. The posts on FTB seem to be delayed, and the pharyngula posts seem to be very very delayed (as in almost a day late). Why is that?

Spayed_iMonster. Wasn’t expecting to come across that today.
What, all the other variants on SpagettiMonster were taken?

It would have made sense to have a link to her twitter page. amirite?

Loved the title of Ellen Parran’s lecture, “What Is Truth”, noted by longstreet63. As though “the truth” were something other than composed of things that are true?!
I see this on the last day of the conference:
Who is Dr. Robert A. Martin? Anyone?
Glen Davidson says
Book by a Robert A. Martin
If it is he, one would suppose that he has the knowledge. Does he have what it takes to debate charlatans, though?

Wow! Have you seen the web site of “Willie Dye, Ph.D., Ph.D., Ph.D., Ph.D., Ph.D., Th.D., D.M., D.D., D.D.” which claims to be “Home of the World’s Leading African-American Biblical Archaeologist”?
I wonder how many of those PhD’s are real?
And “Being both a chiropractor and a computer systems analyst, Dr. Waldo knows the difference between good and bad logic.” also takes the cake.
It’s nearly a laugh, but it’s really a cry.
