We’re doing another podcast tonight at 8pm Central, and you’re welcome to join. Send me your google+ ID if you want to get an invite (by the way, if you were on my podcast list before, you’re going to get an invitation anyway; ignore it if you want).
I usually do two topics, half an hour each, so there’s a little something for everyone. The first half will be about the intellectual bankruptcy of creationism, as represented by how the DI dealt with Carl Zimmer, and any other examples you want to bring up.
The second half? Let’s talk about what humanism means! Here’s an excellent video to get you started thinking:
I’ll try to follow along with comments on my youtube and Google+ accounts — you can ask questions and tell me I’m all wrong there, maybe I’ll invite you in, too.

Can’t wait!
I would apprciate an invite as well. +Ben Uticone
Thanks!
Nice video, but it’s hard to see how this message could really resonate with impoverished people who are both economically and politically repressed.
Lights, please.

Humanism a variety of ethical theory and practice that emphasizes reason, scientific inquiry, and human fulfillment in the natural world and often rejects the importance of belief in God.
And that’s what Humanism means, Charlie Brown.

PZ Myers, would you prefer to be e-mailed instead?
Why, I’m impoverished and repressed, and humanism quite definitely resonates with me. It sure would be nice if the western middle-class people stopped thinking that anyone who’s poorer than them could not possibly grasp or resonate with certain ideas because they’re just too busy thinking about survival all the time. There’s enough time in the day to think about all sorts of thing, even when you’re poor and don’t live in a democracy.
Saw the first podcast on YouTube. And, OMG, PZ is a teddy bear!
Is there an RSS or ATOM feed that I can give my podcast aggregator so it will subscribe?
Please send an invite to: john brackin
@6:
I’m happy there are people like you. I’d also surmise that there are plenty who would disagree.
Life physically sucks for many people, for reasons completely unrelated to whether or not they understand & adopt humanist philosophy, or find time to watch successful and popular humanists expounding upon it.
For some reason, I felt an uncontrollable urge to link to this.
I’m looking forward to participating!
