Meetup in DC

I know, I’m going to be in Kamloops next weekend (it will be a great meeting, by the way), but there’s another great meeting going on at the same time in Washington DC, the Women in Secularism conference, and a lot of readers are going to that one, or are just living in that east coast region. So there’s going to be a Pharyngula meetup in DC! It’s a secret gathering of the feminist cabal, though, so I can’t tell you where or when (I don’t even know myself), and if you want to attend you need to write to [email protected] to get all the top-secret details.

Will there be passwords? Secret handshakes? Ritual scarification? I don’t know. Attend and find out.

Nah, no secret handshakes, but you can only gain admittance by giving a list of 5 prominent female atheists and listing two derailing techniques by MRAs. ;)

Most of the details are still TBD, but we’ll probably be meeting at lunch on Saturday.

What there will be is a whole lot of grumbling from women who can’t afford to attend. Seriously, this is no way to draw people in and educate them. Enough with the pricey hotels- there are gymnasiums with bleachers, wedding reception halls, etc., etc.

    Benson
    Blackmore
    MG Myers
    Namazie
    Frank

    What about teh menz?!
Black people call eachother “nigga” all the time, so I can use gendered epithets.

Now who’s gonna pay to fly me in?

Ibyea, the conference starts Friday evening and runs until Sunday afternoon.

At this point, it looks like our meetup is going to be for lunch after the closing of the conference Sunday. The only thing secret at the moment is the restaurant we’re going to, and that’s just because I haven’t figured that out yet. :)

I’ve got one option if we have less than fifteen people, another if we have more than fifteen; I’m trying to negotiate a private room for both.
