Oh, no…it’s a video of a sea lion brutalizing an innocent cephalopod.
It looks like this was made by attaching a camera to a sea lion. Am I wicked for thinking the next video I want to see is a sea lion slowed down by the clumsy gadgetry on its back, getting chewed on by a shark?
Yes, I am taking sides!
(Video moved below the fold because it seems to load every time the page is refreshed.)

Puns are the lowest form of humour.
Except when they are funny.

the sea lion isn’t impressed by the ‘ink’ squirts

My condolences, PZ.

PZ: This video appear to load every time I open the Pharyngula home page or refresh it, which I usually do several times a day (many more if I’m following comments). I’ll likely use up a fair chunk of my monthly bandwidth allocation before this entry drops off the page. Or I could go without for a week and face Pharyngula withdrawal symptoms.
Can you do something about it please?

God made cephalopods out of tasty meat for a reason.
And I’m sticking with that, at least any time I want to eat calimari.

Did anybody else have the music from the opening of The Naked Gun going through their heads as the sea-lion coasted along the bottom?
Sven DiMilo says
They gat a few sharks down there, that’s for sure.

That thing doesn’t look anything like a lion. It should be called a fat ocean dog or something.

Yes!!! It’s not the poor sea lion’s fault some bozo packed a bunch of clumsy gadgetry on its back. And it didn’t give the sea lion any unfair advantage over the octopus.
Now, if you wanted to see a shark chew an *unimpeded* sea lion then you aren’t wicked. (just a little sick… well, maybe not…)

Well, in the interest of fairness I tried to find a shark eating sea lion video but only got this killer whale eating sea lion one.
If I had to choose sides, I’d have to choose the side whose barking lulled me to sleep when I was a child though…

Ceviche de pulpo is really good, and I guess those Aussie sea lions know it.

Well, at least in not squid porn.

Don’t worry PZ, those waters are shark infested. A few years ago a surfer got killed by not one, but 2 great whites.

Jesus surfing? Thought he was supposed to walk on the water.
But then again, great whites aren’t all that fussy.
