my pal ikoi is reading the page, and it’s apparently custom-made to order, so you’d have to order it thataway.
she says there’s not a price on the anomarokarisu but the toy car ones start at $250. that’s like eleventy billion yen or something, isn’t it
Yeah those are custom ordered. In fact it seems like they can make just about anything you want as long as its not a person, trademarked character or your pet.
You could ask Mary Robinette Kowal. She’s a professional puppeteer, and she may be able to give you some ideas for either making your own, or she may know someone who could stitch one up for you.
Other than that, I’ve got nothing.

Neat Cthulhu plushies, but Entertainment Earth’s privacy policy sucks. “You give us personal information, we flog it to half the planet.”
Bah, I’m still waiting for an Opabinia plushie. :p

That does look pretty ez to make. How big is it? How about if your put one of those voiceboxes inside– I have a baby otter that, when you squeeze it, cought, smooches, purrs, whines . . . it is a quantum leap forward, cuteness-wise. (What is the standard unit of cuteness?)

you know if you put any foreign URL into google, it will offer a ‘translate this page link’
the translations vary from spot-on to a bit shaky:
Gawd, those giant microbe plushies are so cute. I ordered a brain cell. I saw PZ’s lecture on the brain not having a ghost, but if brain cells have cute expressions like that–one has to wonder. (I’m referring to the “dolls” at giantmicrobes.com)
OK, but is the Simplicity pattern on file somewhere? Could somebody with a ruler knock one up? My mom has a sewing machine . . . .

According to the ‘order’ page, the animal you want is available by request- that is, they don’t seem to make it and distribute it. I could be wrong, my Japanese is a bit rusty.
I sent the maker’s info address and PZ an e-mail in Japanese and English asking how to order it.

Sorry I didn’t make this one post, but the manufacturer can be found at http://www.toyvault.com/cthulhu/ and they have a list (bizarrely prefixed with a bunch of hex digit gobbledygook) of places to buy their products with much better privacy policies like http://www.trollandtoad.com/privacy.php and http://www.warehouse23.com/info/helpfaq.html#privacy
If you’re going to shop for Cthulhu plushies, there are better places to shop. http://www.warehouse23.com/item.html?id=TYVHP517
