Late yet again… sorry…
This one is really cool. It’s currently the most massive known structure in our observable universe, measuring 10 billion lightyears in diameter. Sorry I can’t get y’all a better link than Wikipedia. I can’t find anything at Nasa.gov or Hubblesite.org, which is annoying but… what’re ya’ gonna do?
Also… you may have noticed that all I’ve been posting are guitar solos and astronomy pics lately.
Sorry about that.
My post about the Stairway to Heaven lawsuit is in limbo until the information I’m waiting for (write-ups by musicologists) gets officially published, and my post about the US Police Force and why I think the structure as it exists is useless and corrupt at the very roots (beyond saving) has become a very long persuasive/historical essay with a lot of research going into it. I’m still only outlining/drafting and researching it. Makes me feel like I’m in school again. I know I should give myself a deadline, but I’m afraid to… and I’m an expert at procrastination… *sigh*…
And in the interim, I’ve missed highlighting more black lives taken by the police, and the recent study that came out showing that Native Americans are the most targeted by the police (with black people coming really, really, really damn close).
Tomorrow (Thursday, October 27th), I promise a new post not related to guitar solos or astronomy pics. There was a recent Best of the Left about rape culture that was incredible, and I want to highlight it, push the activism opportunity, and give my thoughts (as if anyone here is in any doubt about my acceptance that rape culture is real).
So you’ll see a real post from me tomorrow. Promise.

Great image -- and when it comes to astronomy wikipedia is generally pretty good I think.
