‘WE WILL DIE’: San Juan Mayor Says Trump’s Inaction in Puerto Rico Will Mean ‘Genocide’

“Simply put: HELP US. WITHOUT ROBUST and CONSISTENT HELP WE WILL DIE,” Mayor Carmen Yulín Cruz wrote in a statement texted to Rep. Luis Gutiérrez and shared with Splinter. “Stop the genocide that will result from the lack of appropriate action of a president that just does not get it.”

Cruz, who had previously taken to wearing a T-shirt that read “HELP US WE ARE DYING” during on-screen interviews, didn’t mince words about President Trump’s response to the devastation on the island, which has mostly involved tweeting to blame Puerto Ricans who are drinking toxic water for the situation they find themselves in.

It disturbing to know realize think that Annoying Orange and his corrupt regime are capable of isolating the island and letting millions die of thirst, starvation and disease over several months.  Another Lodz Ghetto, another Russian famine, another Hunger Plan, another Gaza.
