Wait a minute — didn’t the far right go pretty well ballistic about DADT replacing the previous “Interrogate and shoot on sight” policy toward gays in the military? Clearly she’s a deep cover liberal.
Sometimes I wonder how much these politicians actually believe what they’re espousing and how much is purely for show (and how much started out as show and now they believe their own lies…).
It seems to me that Americans have done to politics what WWE did to wrestling as a sport: turned it into rather shitty soap opera that is only believed by the really ignorant.

According to the story, she DOESN’T think gays in the military are bad — as long as they stay in the closet. Although I’m pretty sure she’d deny it if asked in that way.
Military training is designed to remove any traces of individuality, so that when you’ve got bullets flying over your head, anyone you turn to with an American uniform on is equally trained and trustworthy.
Homosexual, religious, vegetarian, none of these qualities matter in a soldier, even if many of them are obvious. Troops can usually tell who’s gay, so can their commanding officers. They don’t care, because trust is earned through training. Bills like DADT are being maintained by ignorant, fearful rats who are so in the dark that they can’t realize that there’s nothing wrong with coming out.
