It’s the whole “victim and victimizer” thing you see among some leftists. Once they’ve slotted somebody – a person, a group, a country – into the “victim” slot, it’s extremely difficult for them to criticize people in that group or point out problems with it (at least without massive #NotAllMen style hedging). He’s put the muslim population in the “powerless victimized minority” group.
Yes, Brett. It would be helpful if this whole punching up thing is going to become law of the land, if the Left would publish a victim matrix reference guide carefully spelling out who gets to make fun of who. It would seem to me that a quarter Jew Black South African gets a lot of victimization points and could therefore make fun of Israel in America, but that’s not how its working out in practice.
