Glory for Ken Livingstone: Iran’s Press TV reports
Ken Livingstone to make London a beacon of Islam
Ken Livingstone, Labour party’s candidate for mayor of London has promised to turn London into a “beacon” for the words of the Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him) in a sermon at one of the British capital’s mosques.Livingstone pledged to “educate the mass of Londoners” in Islam, saying: “That will help to cement our city as a beacon that demonstrates the meaning of the words of the Prophet (PBUH).”
Livingstone described the Prophet (PBUH)’s words in his last sermon as “an agenda for all humanity.” He praised the Prophet’s last sermon, telling his audience: “I want to spend the next four years making sure that every non-Muslim in London knows and understands [its] words and message.”
What happened? They forgot the last (PBUH). A disgraceful lapse, if not outright blasphemy!
But anyway, how lovely of Ken, forcing Islam on all Londoners that way. Good that he won’t be frittering away his time on things like public transport or libraries.

Ken Livingston is a little like Rudy Giuliani, except they’re from opposite sides of the political sphere. They both did some good things for their city and they’re both total assholes and they’re both prima-donnas.

Wasn’t anti Semite Red Ken previously mayor of London and wasn’t he defeated in a bid for reelection?

This was in the British media and a link from a Uk source would have been better than the execrable Presstv, which Red/Green Ken also shilled for to the tune of a quarter million pounds a year.
Following Galloway’s recent electoral win , it now seems mandatory to play to sectarian islamists’interests in British politics.

Just so we all know what’s in the Last Sermon:

I think I might need Asylum from Britain soon. Just point me to a sensible secular country.
Ophelia Benson says
mirax, but the link to Press TV was the point – the execrableness of it.

Just a not about Mohjammed’s alst sermon. On the surface it APEARS to push universal bortherhood, but in actual fact it only promotes equality between Muslims. By reaffirming the divine origin of the Koran, a document that enshrines legal inequalities between Muslims and others, Mohammed is making a case for Muslim chauvinism and supremacism.
It’s a call to an ugly US and THEM manicheanism.
It is, thus, the exact opposite of what Red Ken thinks it is.
Ophelia Benson says
That last sermon is some disgusting crap – separating “Muslims” from all other humans; treating “you” as automatically and exclusively male; mandating control of women; summing it all up with “I am the last one so obey me and don’t ever obey anyone else who comes along after because I am the one I am only me!!”
Stewart says
Precisely. He might as well say he has some document promoting Christian, Jewish, Hindu, white or black supremacy that he wants to force down everyone’s throat. “Muslim” and “universal” are not synonyms (he’s hoping no one notices).
Brian Jordan says
It could be a good thing, to educate Londoners in Islam. Unfortunately, I don’t think Red Ken will be telling them how it was a diabolical invention which has had evil consequences. (Pardon the religious terminology!) What’s the Islamic view on newts, btw? Or for that matter, on getting newted, as he seems to have done at times? Oh, sorry – Gorgeous George has already told us that, hasn’t he?
