From Rethinking Vision Forum – a look at Vision Forum’s recklessness with data when it comes to women’s survival. They recommend refusal of surgery for women with ectopic pregnancies and they use bad stats to do it.
I was ASSURED informally and emphatically that National Right to Life In NO WAY supports the Vision Forum position on withholding treatment in the case of tubal pregnancy.
So Vision Forum, like the US Conference of Catholic Bishops, thinks women should die along with their fetuses rather than terminating the pregnancy.
Disgusting, though not surprising, given VF’s fuckwitted ideology. But my eye was caught by something else on the Rethinking Vision Forum:

What is stoning rebellious teens an alternative to and a punishment for? What about their right to life? Have any of these maniacs actually stoned rebellious teens, and what was the authorities’ response?

Well, it makes perfect sense: If she can’t produce lots of babies, she is of no use anyway and can literally fuck off and die.

Roger – They haven’t actually stoned anyone. They simply advocate returning to some portions of the Old Testament Law (though not all, not sure how they distinguish which still holds and which doesn’t). Christian Reconstructionists literally want to make this a Christian Nation, a la Biblical law, which, they say, would include stoning rebellious teenagers, gays, and any women who had ever had abortions. Oh yes.
A woman with an ectopic pregnancy is not a statistic FFS. She’s a person – one who needs a simple medical procedure. Doesn’t matter about fucking numbers. Where’s their christian compassion? where’s their christian love? these people are seriously sick and sick-making.
@sailor1031 – Keep in mind that for most fundamentalist groups, women are roughly equivalent to cattle. They are to be treated as property for the most part.
Fetus are given higher priority than just about anything else…mostly because there is no real cost associated with protesting the issue. If I remember correctly, the national average for all christian churches is that 98% of the money they collect is used to maintain their clubhouses (property, priest/staff salaries, etc), so little to nothing is spent on the children born in poverty that they helped to create.
Xtian compassion and love is reserved only for the fellow members of their individual clubhouses. Everyone else is either confused or outright evil in their eyes.

I’m not disputing your statement that 98% of their funds are used for maintenance of the “clubhouse.” It actually sounds about right to me, but where does that number come from? I’d be interested in knowing how to track the use of funds by these opaque and un-audited institutions. Thanks.
Aw, this was a very nice post. In idea I want to put in writing like this moreover – taking time and actual effort to make an excellent article… but what can I say… I procrastinate alot and on no account seem to get one thing done.
