It was not a fairytale ending but a tragedy of epic proportions. Messi is still not able to hold a winner’s trophy in his national colours. Argentina’s severe drought of titles continue. Argentina under Messi lost three finals in three years. And the final nail in the coffin of Argentina’s aspirations was Messi’s botched up penalty kick.
Congrats Chile for retaining the Copa America crown.
Will law of averages start helping Messi in remaining part of his career ? Let us hope so as he is such a great player.
As long as he remains with Barca he should win championships, however he announced that he is quitting the Argentine National Team. Will that give the team better luck?
I am still hoping he will change his mind.
