Penguins are some of the weirder looking critters evolution came up with. I don’t know why I see them as cute and funny but they sure are cute and funny!

Here is one link. This has been going on for over 50 years as a public spectacle, visitors get quite close and the birds just march on by, so many generations have become acclimatised to the show, but they are not trained or interfered with by humans.
Love the expression on the one in the middle of the first picture: “Do you mind? We’re trying to have a bath here!”

Birds are so wonderful. A hummingbird made me laugh this morning -- the feeder was empty. I was in the kitchen by the window when a hummingbird hovered right in front of it, peering in to the house. I hadn’t seen one right there before. I had the feeling he was telling me “Hey! Human! Feeder is empty!” I got a good chuckle, went out to get the feeder, cleaned and refilled it. I got no window complaints after that!
I love hummingbirds. So beautiful, so pugnacious.

Usually penguins look more graceful in the water, but I have to say, I giggled out loud seeing that last shot, because they look like the adorablest little pile of dumplings ever!
The colour and sheen of the feathers, though -- I didn’t realize it looked like that! It’s beautiful.
These look anything but birds. I love the second picture,
Penguins are one of the great comedians of the bird world. At least on land.
