Tomorrow (Monday, 7/2), I have to get packed up and head back to the apartment and treatment, so posts will be on the light side. I have some stuff scheduled, but everything else will have to wait until I’m settled again, and we have much to do all day tomorrow, so I won’t have much time until Monday evening. Things might start late on Tuesday, and that could be a super light day, because I’m fully booked with appointments from 1:15pm to 4pm.
For everyone who has sent something recently – I will get around to posting everything, and I will get back to you via email. Right now, everything is split between two computers, and I managed to not get everything on the effing USB stick (chemo brain strikes again!). I apologize if you’re having a wait or think I’m just ignoring you, I’m not, I promise.
I’m not exactly in a position to get bird shots right now, so if you all have birds, please send them along, with my thanks! There are birds flitting about the cancer center, but I haven’t had time to camp out and try to get photos yet. I’ll work on that this week, now that I’m feeling better.
And again, I cannot thank you all enough for the constant support you provide to me. I would be in a much worse place without you all.
Marcus Ranum says
I should send you some of the bird food suet and peanut butter cakes I made.
They were very popular.
Caine says
Oooh, that would be good! There’s a place or two around the apt. and cancer center I want to sneak a bit of bird food into, and that would be a good way to do it. I’ve thought about making my own suet, but it’s more cost effective to simply buy it. We can get big boxes of it for little cost.
Nightjar says
Bird shots? I have them, but mostly from last summer/fall. I you don’t mind them not being that recent, I can send some along.
Caine says
Oh, I don’t care when they’re from! I’d rather not resort to my archives once again, because I’ve raided them a time or two already, and I can’t remember which ones I posted.
Marcus Ranum says
I’ll send some along when I get home; about a week.
Caine says
That will work, thanks Marcus!
Charly says
Unfortunately I am too tired today to post, I got too engrosed in work on my dagger and now I have to go to sleep in order to wake up to work tomorrow morning. However I could schedule a few day’s worth of bird pictures tomorrow evening (noon your time) when I get from work.
Caine says
Thanks, Charly. Whatever you wish to do and have time for. I know what it’s like to need your sleep, and that’s more important. I have House Sparrows of yours scheduled for Mon. morning, but that’s it. And it’s not like it would be a tragedy to miss a few daily birds.
Caine says
Oh, and your usual slot is open if you want it, Charly.
Ice Swimmer says
I think I have a couple of bird pictures that I could send. I’ll see how many are actually publishable, tomorrow.
Caine says
Thank you, Ice Swimmer! And of course, there’s no need to restrict yourself to birds. :)
Ice Swimmer says
I sent a few already. (Saying this in case the e-mail inbox is still a jungle.)
Ice Swimmer says
Caine @ 11
You’re welcome. (Wrote my 12 without knowing about your 11.)
Caine says
Okay, thank you.
voyager says
I have one or two things I can post over the next few days.
I hope you get a chance to catch your breath next week.
Caine says
Thank you, Voyager. Things should be all calmed down by Wednesday, especially as everything will be shut down for the 4th of July, including most of the hospital and cancer center. :D

I have some storks somewhere.
Sounds like the move is being a move with the added chemo brain, not fun! I hope the plan with the bird feeding works out, then you’ll have your own tame flock of seagulls to use for nefarious purposes! (I dunno, seagulls is first that comes to mind when thinking of city birds here, they’re a pest -- pigeons would be better, they’re far less scarily aggressive.)
