In the first, the pink flower looks like it’s a dancing creature.

These are beautiful photos. I can almost smell them and I love the way you caught the light shining through the petals in the first picture.

These are photos from April, usually hyacinths will bloom in March, but it’s been a weird compressed spring and now we’re into a hot, dry summer already -- June has tended towards the mid-teens (C) recent years, but this year it was all upper 20s and no rain. Oh, we had two days this week of +11 and 12 weather, but the rain never came. Out country, it’s the cusp of drought conditions.

And thank you, voyager. I particularly enjoy playing with backlight and translucency, the effect on colours and textures is quite wonderful (and then there’s sorting through the ones that didn’t turn out, of course ;) ).

I just love the colours, and the waxy sheen. Reminds me of my metallic coloured pencils, which would be perfect for drawing these.

They certainly look like wax flowers. The colours in the middle one are my favourite.

Hyacinths? Mine bloomed in January! Even the leaves are gone by now.
Lovely light in these photos and beautiful colours too. Reminds of their scent, I miss it.
Caine says
I’m very drawn to the purple ones.
