These are wild, giant chives. Their colour is very intense and beautiful. No idea where they came from. My planted chives are the softer violet colour.

That’s interesting, over here there are wild chives that are of a vivid, dark red colour. Not like the pale planted chives but not this colour either. I will try to find some and take photos.

Mine are a much duller colour.
Just what I was going to say, mine are a pale mauve.
They look like exotic flowers and yet, it’s this hardy little herb that grows wild on seashore.
