Your photo really highlights how iridescent that bug is. It almost looks as if he is gold plated. And I love how you’ve also drawn my eye to the small red edges of the flower. And the photo feels so warm…like sunshine in the summer. I love this photo.

Thank you! Yes, that beetle is amazing. I wish I knew its ID. I’ve photographed it before on a chicory flower and it looks just as shiny in a blue setting.
Ice Swimmer, I should clarify that this photo was not taken in May! It was taken last year, June 11. Still not summer, but closer to it. :)
