Landmark.
This building is a landmark of the pastel-coloured Pikku Huopalahti residential area in Helsinki, close to downtown. The building, called Terassitalo (Terrace house) was completed in 1994. The area was built between 1986 and 2000 and it’s named after the narrow bay touching the area.

I immediately think of The Landmark Trust https://www.landmarktrust.org.uk/ if someone says landmark. A lot of their buildings are landmarks, though they aso have many modest buildings. They accept dogs in many of their properties, becaue of that and the access to fantastic buildings they are our preferred holiday, though nearly always in the winter when they are cheapest. Our last holiday was in Paxton’s Tower Lodge https://www.landmarktrust.org.uk/search-and-book/properties/paxtons-tower-lodge-10381 the cottage which isn’t a landmark in the usual sense used to be for the caretaker of the tower, which is a landmark and can be seen from miles around, especially as it is spot lit after dark.
The light in this is purely magical.
This particular landmark has 15 floors and is designed by the architect Reijo Jallinoja.
I took this photo in 2016, a few days after xmas, on the same walk as I took these. It was about half an hour to sunset (a bit before 3 pm).

That sounds like a very worthwhile organization.
I think an organization like that could be a good thing. There are few follies and such in Finland and the even the concept is relatively unknown, but there are a lot of empty buildings in the rural areas and getting a loan for renovating residential buildings is difficult if one lives in areas which experience depopulation.
I really like the atmosphere in this photo. The light is magical as Caine says, and the building has some very interesting details.
