    That’s really neat!

    Normally, colors don’t do much for me (I think your earlier point about it being harder to parse the additonal information was bang on) but these are so simple and vivid they don’t overload me. Hm. Maybe that’s why I like Mondrian.

    Thanks. I really wanted to steal that table, it was left out for ages after all the school stuff was auctioned off, but I didn’t, and eventually, someone came to pick it up.

    Dumb question: Was that a teacher’s desk? It looks a bit big to be a student’s desk (which is called pulpetti in Finnish).

    No, this was quite a small table, actually. It’s what I would have called a telephone table, from waaaay back in the day, easy to fit in a small space by a phone, small writing surface, with shelf room for telephone books, pens, and notepads. And a small chair, of course. Those things have pretty much gone the way of the dinosaur.

    And yes, a fine picture. The snow is sculptural and the ochre(?) colour on the desk gives an nice contrast.
