In the colour picture it looks like a fake beard, and the caption makes it sound like an unfortunate pet. Like Donnie’s hair but a beard.

I do like this interpretation, though (the pointy beard). I’ve usually seen/imagined it as a full, rounded beard, but the pointiness of this one is just a touch more evil.

Oh fuck. :falls over laughing: The illustration does not match the caption, Bluebeard doesn’t look like he considers it a misfortune in anyway. He seems terribly impressed with himself.

No, not a redhead. Black hair, maybe, but the blue and the red just clash terribly.
I just had a quiet think about how many fairy tales are about preying on unsuspecting (or slightly suspecting via women’s warning networks) women. Nothing new upon this earth.

Hair and beards being a different colour isn’t that unusual, but red and blue is a colour combination I’ve so far missed seeing. I’ve always pictured Bluebeard with that colour of black hair that has a blue sheen to it rather than actually having a blue beard.

My brothers all have red beards but brown or blonde hair, so yeah, the difference in colour is not a surprise. I just wasn’t aware there was a gene for blue beards. :D Though maybe he dyes it…? He’s certainly fond of it (as per picture)!
