When I was a kid I used to throw swatted flies into the webs. I was surprised that they could learn to come for food.

My grandpa always said that spiders mean a house is healthy (as in the building isn’t rotting).
Husband found a black 5 inch slug in the basement…. Is that good, too? :D

Because one night I found a leopard slug (funny enough, in German it’s a tiger slug) in the entrance hall, so I’d be interested in the answer as well.

… Or maybe it’s a result of all those nasty, toxic things we keep in the basement…? ‘Sfar as I know, it didn’t glow in the dark, so we’re probably safe.
