Did anyone, ever, bother to at least try and produce any evidence whatsoever that foreigners steal jobs from US citizens? Because in my experience the only jobs we ever did were those most US citizens considered to be below their status. Like cleaning, washing and breaking your back over some low paid hard work.
I know that such people do not need evidence, when they have hate. I am just curious if anyone ever even tried to pretend rationality with this.

I’m sure some do, but it’s more ‘general displacement’ that’s hollered about. They’ll come here, take your shitty job, breed like rabbits, then their kids will get free college, blah, blah, blah.
Such arguments tended to have more weight 40 or 50 decades ago, when there were a fucktonne of manufacturing and production line jobs here. Those have slowly vanished over the years. Even way back when, white people used to use the same fucking argument over free black people who got factory jobs.
I have repeatedly pointed out what you did, that most immigrants do work that white people spit at, no matter how low on the ladder.

There is plenty. The problem -- and the reason nobody is talking about it -- is that the capitalists are the ones doing it. All those jobs that have been exported to China were not “stolen” from American workers, they were given away in order to increase profit-margins for Apple, Cisco, Intel, Nike, WALMART, etc.
That’s not the same at all as “immigrants are stealing our jobs!” They are talking about people here, not elsewhere, and they know the difference between that and outsourcing. Yes, outsourcing seriously fuels bigotry and hate, but there’s precious little evidence of any immigrants here stealing any precious ‘american’ (meaning white) jobs. As Charly and I noted, it’s generally true that immigrants take the work americans look down on, and think they are too good for.
